VETERANS Day 2006-- WAS
THE ONLY VETERAN TO SHOW UP TO PAY RESPECTS TO OUR FALLEN BROTHER AT THE
FORT LYON NATIONAL CEMETARY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! I AT LEAST LAYED A WREATH
TO ALL VETERANS, AND PUT FLOWERS ON THE GRAVES OF THE OLD HORSE CAVALRY SOLDIERS.
DID HAVE A LAST MINUTE ADDITION--FOUR MEMBERS OF BUGLES ACROSS AMERICA SHOWED
UP TO PLAY TAPS. ALL OF THE SO-CALLED VETERANS GROUPS LIKE THE AMERICAN LEGION,
VFW, VIETNAM VETERANS--COULD NOT EVEN SHOW UP.

My uncle was in Unit C/1/9
Cav in Vietnam. He was a gunner on UH-1C, 66-00550. I am interested in finding
anyone that may remember him and hearing stories about him. His name was
Howard Sessoms. His helicopter was shot down on June 21, 1967 in Binh Dinh.

Not a day goes by that
I don't think about C Troop people. Went back as a grunt, spent 10 years
in (SFC), medically retired (100%),self- explanatory , divorced, remarried,
- 8 childern, 21 grandchildern, 2 great grandchildern. Think of Max Parks
alot, honestly miss him and others. Still very much army, very much 1st and
9th Cav, and very much C Troop. Welcome home guys!
