On the night of May 19/20, 1968 Charlie dropped a
rocket into the ammo dump at Camp Evans. The ensuing fire
and explosions caused a great deal of destruction.
The charred remains of the B & C, 227th
company area gives mute testimony. The damaged Charlie Troop
