John Powell narrates: "While at Pointe
Du Hoc with my group and 5000 other people, I had an encounter of great
magnitude. Earlier in the week I had run into a B Troop Scout pilot which
was pretty good, but as I approached one of the large gun bunkers there,
at the top of the steps was none other than Cavalier 24, Grover Wright....my
long lost son. Although the reunion was short, it was really great and capped
my trip. The C Troop bond is strong and carries over the years and our chance
encounter washed away the years, and for a few minutes we were the same two
bozos we were 43 years ago. Grover was and is the best."
