This just in from Lisa:
We will have a Hospitality Suite from Monday, July 26th through Sunday August 1st at the hotel for all to gather, share pictures, show movies, reminisce, etc.Here are some of the events I am negotiating:
Tuesday or Wednesday - Day trip to Carson City and Virginia City
Thursday - Group Breakfast and Afternoon Barbeque at Zephyr Cove on Lake Tahoe
Friday - Dinner Cruise on Lake Tahoe
Saturday - Daytime Rafting Trip (Very mild, no rough water at all, all levels can enjoy including young children)with lunch followed by a group dinner at the Silver Legacy
Sunday - Farewell Breakfast
I am also trying to plan a concert or comedy show for all to attend and possibly a horse back ride earlier in the week.
Some of the folks are getting together the end of July for merriment. Anyone interested please contact Lisa Warren (lwarren@accesspr.com) or Candace Beltz (cbeltz@indiana.edu). Below is their letter:
Hello All!!BREAKING NEWS- The plans were to stay in Tahoe yet they were giving us the low rate with a minimum of 25 rooms. With only 10 confirmations at this point, the room in Tahoe would be $145 per night for all nights. Given the hotel in Reno is $55 during the week and $120 on the weekends, Lisa will be signing the contract for the block of rooms this week. If there are any objections, feel free to let us know. If this cost hike doesn't pose a problem to the majority, we will gladly stay in Tahoe. We will get the rooms, you need to do nothing through the hotel at this point. The hotel is the Silver Legacy
Activities were in the works for Tahoe but with the change to Reno, the activities information will be forthcoming soon.
The confirmed are: Bob Tredway and Ann Martin, Mark Hilton and Kim Anderson, Ron and Belinda Beyer, Sam and Rhonda Hinch, Brian Holcomb and Kathy, John and Jennie Mackel, John Powell, Fred and Brabara Joles and Larry Edeal and Lisa Warren.
We are still trying to get in touch with Uncle John, Bruce Huffman, a bunch of those guys who were in Vegas if anyone knows their emails. We've put an alert on the Cav 1/9 site so hopefully this will round up more people as right now you are the only confirmed. Twist some arms and let's get some people out to beautiful Reno.
